As you've no doubt seen by now, Last.fm has undergone some major site upgrades in the last week. A lot of people are less than stoked about it, including me. I'm really hoping the Last.fm site can get back to its former glory (i.e. full functionality) soon.

In theory, there should be no adverse effect on the Universal Scrobbler, as there are no planned changes to the way that 3rd party apps like this submit scrobbles to the Last.fm APIs. However, I know there have been patches of downtime recently with a few people experiencing scrobbling issues - sorry about this, I'm hoping that Last.fm keep these disruption periods to a minimum as they transition.

If you want to find out more about the transition process, you can read Last.fm's post about it. Also, remember, if you ever experience scrobbling error messages, it's worth checking the Last.fm status page to see whether it's a problem with Last.fm's submission services. When this is down, all we can do is wait...

Hi all, OnDistantShores here.

Well it's been over a year now since Last.fm's substantial site changes, and they still haven't restored access to functionality such as groups, forums, and notifications.

I've given up on waiting for this stuff to come back. I know a few people really miss having the Universal Scrobbler group page, and I miss having a place to hear from you guys on how to make the Universal Scrobbler better. So I've now created a Universal Scrobbler subreddit to be this connection point until Last.fm gets their crap together. Please join if you want to discuss changes, bugs & feature requests for this tool. (Note you'll need to have a Reddit account to participate in the discussion.)
